Isolation Transformer PDUs

1.5 kW–10 kW | Clean, Isolated Power Distribution

Galvanically isolated rack, wall, and floor-mount PDUs supporting 120V, 208V, and 240V input and output for mixed-voltage and noise-sensitive environments.

Category:

Clean, Isolated Power Distribution for Mission-Critical Equipment

The Xtreme Power Isolation Transformer PDU family delivers galvanically isolated power distribution for environments where power quality, grounding integrity, and equipment protection are critical.

Designed for IT, AV, retail, industrial, laboratory, and edge deployments, these isolation PDUs electrically separate sensitive loads from the utility or upstream UPS—reducing common-mode noise, eliminating ground loops, and suppressing electrical interference that can cause instability or premature equipment failure.

When combined with an Xtreme Power UPS, Isolation Transformer PDUs form one of the cleanest and most robust power architectures available for mixed-voltage and noise-sensitive applications.

What Is an Isolation Transformer PDU?

An isolation transformer PDU integrates a galvanically isolated transformer directly into a power distribution unit to:

  • Electrically separate sensitive loads from upstream power sources
  • Reduce common-mode noise and ground loops
  • Improve power quality for IT, AV, industrial, and laboratory equipment
  • Enable safe voltage conversion in mixed-voltage environments

This design is commonly used where standard UPS output alone is not sufficient to meet power quality or voltage requirements.

Featured Rack-Mount Model: XPD-IT60A (6 kVA)

The XPD-IT60A is the flagship rack-mount isolation transformer PDU in the Xtreme Power lineup. It is purpose-built for 208V or 240V UPS-backed racks that must safely support 120V equipment.

  • Converts 208V or 240V input to clean, isolated 120V output
  • Plug-in NEMA L6-30P input (no hardwiring)
  • High-density (12) NEMA 5-15/20R outlets in a compact 2U rack form factor
  • Ideal for IDF closets, edge racks, broadcast systems, and mixed-voltage IT deployments

For higher-capacity or terminal-block input configurations, see the
6kVA Isolation Transformer PDU.
