The Xtreme Power Isolation Transformer PDU family delivers galvanically isolated power distribution for environments where power quality, grounding integrity, and equipment protection are critical. A heavy-duty isolation transformer electrically separates sensitive loads from the utility or upstream UPS – reducing common-mode noise, eliminating ground loops, and suppressing the interference that causes instability or premature equipment failure across IT, AV, retail, industrial, laboratory, and edge deployments.
Engineered for demanding electrical conditions, Isolation Transformer PDUs deliver clean, stable power to critical loads while meeting mixed-voltage requirements. The integrated galvanic isolation transformer reduces common-mode noise and electrical interference found in IT, retail, industrial, and laboratory environments, and supports multiple output voltages and receptacle configurations for mixed-load racks. When combined with an Xtreme Power UPS, these PDUs form one of the cleanest and most robust power architectures available for noise-sensitive applications.
An isolation transformer PDU integrates a galvanically isolated transformer directly into a power distribution unit. By electrically separating connected equipment from the upstream source, it reduces common-mode noise and ground loops, improves power quality for IT, AV, industrial, and laboratory loads, and enables safe voltage conversion in mixed-voltage environments. It is commonly used where standard UPS output alone is not sufficient to meet power-quality or voltage requirements.
Models span small IT racks through high-power industrial and laboratory applications.
NEMA plugs, IEC inlets, or terminal-block connections, in hardwired or plug-and-receptacle configurations by model.
120V and/or 240V outputs, including step-down isolation for mixed-voltage environments.
A heavy-duty isolation transformer reduces common-mode noise and minimizes ground-related interference.
Available in 2U-3U rack-mount, wall-mount, or floor-mount configurations.
All-metal enclosures and oversized transformers engineered for long service life.

Specifications from the Isolation PDU datasheet (Rev 3/19/20). All models are single-phase, 50/60 Hz, with a galvanic isolation transformer. LV models step 120V to isolated 120V; 208/240V models step down to 240/120V. Capacity is shown per the model selection guide; the XPD-IT60A is also marketed as a 6 kVA unit.
The XPD-IT60A is the flagship rack-mount isolation transformer PDU in the Xtreme Power lineup, purpose-built for 208V or 240V UPS-backed racks that must safely support 120V equipment. It converts 208V or 240V input to clean, isolated 240/120V output through a plug-in NEMA L6-30P inlet – no hardwiring – and delivers high-density distribution from (12) NEMA 5-15/20R outlets plus an L6-30R in a compact 2U form factor. It is ideal for IDF closets, edge racks, broadcast systems, and mixed-voltage IT deployments.
Isolation Transformer PDUs are designed to operate downstream of a UPS – line-interactive or online double-conversion – improving overall power quality while preserving UPS protection and battery backup. Common pairings include the P91 Series online UPS (5-10 kVA) for continuous, conditioned power and the P80g line-interactive UPS (208/230V) for efficient, cost-effective protection. For applications requiring monitoring, metering, or remote power control, an Isolation PDU can feed a downstream SPDU smart PDU – delivering clean, isolated power plus outlet-level visibility and control.

Powering sensitive transaction and control electronics in retail environments.
Reducing electrical noise in manufacturing, automation, and test systems.
Supporting switchers, encoders, monitors, and control gear.
Stable, isolated power for precision laboratory and instrumentation equipment.
Clean, isolated distribution for mixed-voltage edge and distributed sites.
