30–40 kVA | 208/120V Three-Phase | Online Double-Conversion UPS
Compact centralized three-phase UPS engineered for facility infrastructure requiring higher capacity, predictable maintenance, and efficient electrical room deployment.
30–40 kVA · 208/120 VAC Three-Phase · Online Double-Conversion · Higher-Capacity Centralized Facility UPS · TAA
The E91 30–40 kVA is the expanded-capacity member of the compact centralized three-phase online double-conversion family (208/120V) — built for healthcare, industrial, commercial, telecommunications, and distributed IT environments that need higher centralized capacity without transitioning to modular UPS architecture. It integrates UPS electronics and VRLA batteries in a single cabinet, delivers unity output power factor for up to 25% more usable load, and installs against the wall with no rear service clearance required. Up to 94% online (98% ECO) efficiency, a 4.3-in touch LCD, frequency-converter operation, and TAA compliance. An extended-runtime 30 kVA variant (E91-30K4) is available.

The E91 30–40 kVA defines the expanded-capacity category of compact centralized three-phase UPS for localized facility infrastructure. It provides reliable double-conversion power for edge facilities, small data centers, network closets, and industrial applications — integrating UPS and battery within a single cabinet so higher capacity can be deployed without the complexity, footprint, and cost of a modular system. It is selected where infrastructure planners need more centralized capacity while keeping predictable deployment and service models.
The platform integrates UPS electronics and VRLA batteries within one cabinet and is engineered to save floor space: the 30 and 40 kVA models install against the wall with no rear service clearance required. Cable entry is from the top or bottom at the rear, while terminations are made at the front for accessible service. Optional external battery cabinets expand runtime without introducing modular system complexity.
| Design goal | How the E91 30–40 kVA delivers it |
|---|---|
| Floor-space efficiency | Installs against the wall — no rear service clearance required |
| Accessible service | Front terminations; rear top/bottom cable entry |
| Higher centralized capacity | 30 / 40 kVA in one integrated cabinet, no modular expansion needed |
| Runtime flexibility | Optional EBP10-5 external battery cabinets extend runtime |
Unity PF (kVA = kW) provides more real capacity for high-density loads — up to 25% more critical load than typical UPS platforms at the same kVA rating.
The 30 and 40 kVA cabinets install against the wall with no rear clearance required, saving valuable electrical-room floor space.
A color touch display provides an interactive power one-line, status, and alarms for at-a-glance facility monitoring.
High-efficiency operation in double-conversion mode, with up to 98% in ECO mode, plus frequency-converter operation to lock output at 50 or 60 Hz.
Separate rectifier and bypass inputs (jumpers pre-installed) support dual- or single-feed electrical designs, with a front maintenance bypass switch for service.
Internal high-rate VRLA batteries with an extended-runtime 30 kVA variant (30K4), plus optional EBP10-5 external battery cabinets for longer runtimes.
The E91 30–40 kVA is the higher-capacity centralized facility UPS — above the compact E91 10–20 kVA and rack-level systems, and below modular and lithium facility platforms. It is deployed in electrical rooms supporting larger localized infrastructure where higher capacity is required but modular scalability is not.
Need smaller centralized capacity in the same architecture? See the E91 10–20 kVA.
Modular UPS systems provide scalability and redundancy but add complexity, footprint, and cost. Lithium platforms prioritize reduced maintenance, longer battery life, and higher energy density at a higher upfront cost. The E91 30–40 kVA delivers a centralized VRLA architecture for applications where capacity requirements are defined and stable, eliminating modular expansion while simplifying installation and maintenance planning.
| Consideration | E91 30–40 kVA (VRLA) | Modular (M90U) | Lithium (Li90) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Architecture | Centralized, defined capacity | Scalable, redundant modules | Integrated lithium |
| Footprint | Single cabinet, wall-mountable | Larger, scalable | Reduced footprint |
| Battery model | VRLA, periodic replacement | VRLA / modular | Lithium, long life, low maintenance |
| Best when | Capacity is defined; simple, predictable service | Growth or redundancy is required | Low-maintenance modernization is the goal |
